What we collect
- Email address — when you sign in with Google, we receive your email address from Google to create your account.
- Food photos — images you upload to the Is This Veg? scanner are sent to Google Gemini for analysis and are not stored by us.
- Scan usage — we record how many scans you have used to enforce your free and purchased scan allowance.
- Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
How we use it
- To provide and operate the Is This Veg? scanner.
- To track your scan credits and process purchases.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.
Third-party services
- Supabase — stores your account data (email, scan counts). Data is hosted on servers in the ap-northeast-1 region.
- Google Gemini — processes food images to identify ingredients. Images are not retained after analysis.
- Stripe — processes payments. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Google Sign-In — used for authentication. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Data retention
Your account data is retained as long as your account exists. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us at the address below.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
